                                                HOME INSPECTION COURSES IN ALBERTA, LOUISIANA & MISSISSIPPI

​​​​​​​​​​​​​Academic Semester  

​The academic semester, is calculated from your first day of classroom.  A semester is 17 weeks.

All academic studies must be completed within 17 weeks.  If the course in your area requires any Practice Inspections and Home Inspection Reports, these will also need to be completed in the 17 weeks semester.

The (at home) part of the program can begin anytime for online courses.  

An extension of the program may be granted if the student requires more time to complete the program.  

A signed amendment to the Student Enrolment Contract must be signed by both the student and the Director of the College.


Assignments   

Alberta, Canada - 

Tasks or exercises performed by the student as part of a course of study. The student’s work shall be expected to fulfil the learning outcomes of a study unit.  Within the scheduled 17 weeks program, each student is required to complete7 Practice Home Inspectionsand 7 Practice Home Inspection Reports as part of your total 202 hours.  Each Home Inspection Report must be emailed to one of the instructor on our Contact Us page for grading and instructors comments. Course hours will vary with different Provinces regulations and license requirements.

USA -

Tasks or exercises performed by the student as part of a course of study.  The student's work shall be expected to fulfil the learning outcomes of a study unit.  Within the scheduled 17 weeks program, each student is required to complete all modules in the course as part of your total course hours.  Each Home Inspection Report must be emailed to one of the instructors on our Contact Us page for grading and instructors comments.  Course hours will vary with different States regulations and license requirements.


Attendance  ​(Classroom Only)

Class attendance is the students responsibility.  All students are expected to attend the scheduled classroom time with at least 80% attendance.


Cancelled or Relocated Classes

​Inspection Time Inc reserves the right to cancel a class at its discretion, if the attendance does not meet our minimum requirements.  Students shall be notified and refunded 100% of their amount paid, if the class is cancelled.


Inspection Time Inc reserves the right to relocate a class if unforeseen circumstances force us to do so. Students will be notified as soon as the new location information is confirmed and established.


Course Objectives 

Upon successful completion of the Home Inspection Course, students will be able to:
                Attain the necessary knowledge indicative of the home inspection industry standards
                Recognize residential construction materials and techniques of construction
                Recommend the remedial action required to rectify identified problems
                Have a working knowledge of inspection equipment, use, and application
                Identify personal protective clothing used in home inspection,
                Identify and prioritize the most common defects found in residential construction
                Inspect a residence pursuant to general industry standards
                Report inspection findings consistent with recognized methods
                Identify and locate resources and technical reference materials


Grading  

Within each training manual, will be a number of Quizzes that must be completed with no less then an 80% success rate to pass each course.


Monitoring & Reporting of Students Academic Progress 

All tests for each manual/subject will be completed through classmarker.com.  Each student will receive immediate results directly from classmarker.com and the college will also receive this same information.  

This information is used to issue each student their Pre-License Home Inspector Certificate when they have completed to satisfaction, all requirements of the school.


Refund of Registration Fee

Inspection Time Training Career College (ITTCC) will refund any registration fee that has been paid by or on behalf of the student if:

      a)  ITTCC terminates a student contract before the vocational begins, or

      b)  The vocational training does not begin on the commencement date set out in the student                        contract.


Refund of Tuition - after training begins

If a student contract is terminated after the vocational training begins, Inspection Time Training Career College (ITTCC) is entitled to the following amounts of tuition:

      a)  when 10% or less of the vocational training has been provided, 25% of the tuition;

      b)  when more than 10% but 50% or less of the vocational training has been provided, 60% of the              tuition;

      c)  when more than 50% of the vocational training has been provided, 100% of the tuition.


Resolution of Complaints 

             1.  It is suggested by the director of Inspection Time Training Career College for those

                  involved to first try and resolve any issues that may arise personally.

             2.  If this is not possible, a written letter to the director of Inspection Time Training Career 

                  College will be submitted.

             3.  All letters of complaint will be dealt with immediately by the director (Renae Franche) or the

                  class instructor (Roger Runnels). Submit Letters of Complaints to ittcc@shaw.ca.


Suspension or Expulsion  

A student will be administratively dismissed from the College automatically and without further notice if:    

          1.  A student fails to maintain an 80% attendance in the classroom.

             2.  A student expresses inappropriate behaviour toward the instructor or fellow students.
